Welcome
I'm Amy Squires, an integrative counsellor offering a compassionate and grounded space for exploration, understanding, and growth.
My practice is rooted in person-centred counselling, which means I place great value on creating a supportive relationship where you feel truly heard and accepted. This foundation allows us to gently explore how your experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself and the world around you.
Alongside this, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help identify practical, tailored coping strategies. These approaches support us in making sense of challenges and discovering small, meaningful steps forward, empowering you to manage life in a way that feels more aligned and sustainable.
Together, we can hold space for what’s been, while creating space for what’s possible.
Previously known as Clearmind Counselling, this practice has evolved alongside my personal and professional journey. While the name has changed, the heart of the work remains the same offering a warm, reflective space to support your emotional wellbeing. Moving forward as Amy Squires Integrative Counselling allows me to bring a more personal, authentic presence to the work we do together.
Are you interested in bringing positive transformations to your life?
Positive transformation often begins with the simple, yet courageous, decision to reach out. While this step can feel daunting, you don’t have to face it alone.
My journey into the mental health field began over nine years ago, supporting children and families in building emotional resilience and stronger relationships. Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my practice, gaining a BA (Hons) in Counselling from the University of Hull. Alongside my studies, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals in both educational and healthcare settings, including Franklin College, Marsico Medical Practice, and Cudox Counselling.
Clients come to me for support with a variety of concerns from relationship difficulties and workplace stress to anxiety, low mood, or a general sense of feeling stuck. My integrative approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, while also drawing on elements of CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy to help develop practical, personalised coping tools. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you and find a way forward that feels right.
My practice offers a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can be met just as you are.
